Join our Adopt-a-Shoreline Program and help survey for invasive species along the shorelines of Grand Lake!![]()

We are looking for passionate volunteers who:![]()
✅ Have access to their own kayak or paddleboard![]()
✅ Are available for a training session from 6-8 pm Sunday August 9 (Wind/rain date to be Determined)![]()
✅ Are interested in conservation and protecting native ecosystems![]()

What you'll do:![]()
• Paddle along a designated shoreline section![]()
• Identify and report invasive aquatic plants, like eurasian water milfoil![]()
• Help preserve the natural health of our lake![]()
*Training includes identification skills, data collection tips, and gear guidance![]()

Our field meter lets us know many things about the water conditions, right on site.![]()
Many water parameters are often correlated with each other; turbidity affects temperature, temperature affects oxygen, and more. But these associations can not be used to accurately predict data. That is why we need the field meter!![]()
Not only were we monitoring the water parameters... we were paying close attention to what was living in the water! Check out our pictures to see some of the things we found!![]()
