EWM has been present in Youngs Cove for several years. This is likely due to fragments of plants both drifting in, and hitching a ride on boats coming in and out of the water there. We surveyed along the shore from the Community Wharf to the mouth of the Cove, marking points using handheld GPS units.Comparing these points with those of previous and future surveys will allow us to better understand the rate and amount of spread we may expect from EWM.--If you have your own kayak or paddleboard and you want to learn more about surveying Grand Lake for Eurasian Water Milfoil, contact us for future workshops around the Lake.We would like to survey the area where Long Creek meets Salmon River. If anyone knows a public access point where we can launch a paddleboard, orowns property here, send us an email at [email protected]And stay tuned for the rest of our surveys and results!--#youngscovenb #newbrunswick #wildlife #conservation #grandlakenb ...
